Subject: Using emulator
I would really like to use the Revo emulator on my PC and use Agenda, Contacts etc as my PC based PCM programmes. Is this possible? I did download the emulator before from Epoc's web-site, but to be honest it all got a bit technical for me! I had to try and open the emulator in another drive, or some such technicality, but of course my backups were all on the PC's C drive, so I couldn't access them.
If anybody would care to give instructions on this in layman's terms, I woul be very grateful.

To Steve Hodgson Subject: Signature files >how easy this is to set up....... > I couldn't see any way to implement even a single signature by default within the Email application and their are no template capabilities.
Re : Draft (Menu/File/Save as Draft) can be used as a "template"; When "Sending to Outbox" Check *No* remove from draft folder to keep your orginal "template" .
>The shareware applications I spotted seem to be a little over the top as I only want a single signature and, having to run another application from the extrabar seems to be excessive given the end result.
Re ; Do you mean ReplyEveryMail and quote.opo as its add-on?
As a macro, this quote.opo add-on may be used by itself.
It allows hazard quoting from quotes lists of yours... Sometime surprising.
>Is it all just done by cliptext/Macro5 etc?
Re : This may be the simplest way .. so i'll use Assistant's clip function to below quoting :
"All my outgoing messages being sent by a Psion machine are thus virus-free guaranteed and need *not* to be checked by any anti-virus"

Re : Yes a known and irritating bug it is and encountered with the nB (156) as well.
I found another "switch on bug" with version 1,05(450) : When the "Switch off after" time is set to 03 minutes, It often later goes to 30 !
minutes.

My collection consists of 25 Psion and Symbian-items,
and yes, with an Org One, a Geofox an one of the first upgrades Series 7/netBook ;-)
Details: http://organiser.pages.at
And with my friend Egon Widmer we did the Psion-Symbian-History-Database
with all
devices - even prototypes! (only the newest netpad 5000's are missing at
the moment)
If you have more infos, you are heartly welcome!
And his museum with even more devices is the online-version of this database: http://www.psialp.ch/museum.html

Steve,
try Mario Collados superb sw Assistant. It has both cliptext & template inserts that can do the trick. It runs in the background and includes a huge set of various system & PIM functions.

Rolf / anybody else,
do you know if the same holds true for transfer between MC218 & Casio E-125 PocketPC? How about transferring contacts, agenda entries?

Subject: Psion Commander
Hi,
I'd like to announce a new filemanager called Psion Commander. It is in the style of Norton Commander (Windows) / Midnight Commander (Linux). Currently under heavy developing - but as reported works fine on Revo / Series 5 / netBook.
It will be / it is Open Source. So if you are interested, please contact
Cheers
