My thoughts exactly. I use the Treo almost purely for PIM applications and a Nokia 6610 with IrDA for SMS which I use a lot for business and community work.

Sometimes, I am able to take notes at conferences and lectures using just the thumboard of the Treo. But I have small thumbs so can do this.

Put the blinking dash at the end of or url (with http://... at the beginning)

then launch translauncher.

You may have to adapt translauncher opl to the browser you use.

I never said that! Someone else said it to me. I wasn't even looking for a phone capable of e-mailing. What I wanted to know was whether any of the phones I had been offered would be suitable for use with my Psion. That question was not answered, so I ended up letting the offer go.

Howdy!

I've recently installed a HAM radio on the boat. For anyone interested, I am LA7QZ-MM. Could someone please update me on what HAM-related software is available for EPOC? I am especially interested in whether there is Pactor software for use with AirMail, as this would save me the bother and power consumption of using the PC for SSB e-mail.

Re.: bluetooth keyboards - Can you (or someone else) explain to me that if an infra red keyboard costs 40 pounds less than a bluetooth one, why one should bother to buy the bluetooth one ? If you could please try to help me I'd be so grateful. I've spent hours and hours on the phone with T-Mobile and others trying to get it to work so I fear you're my last hope!

I am trying to connect to the Internet with my Diamond Mako (like a Psion Revo). I would like to use my T-Mobile account and an infrared connection on my Samsung E105 to browse the web, and eventually check my emails (this will be another hurdle, but right now I just want to be able to get a connection and see some web sites).

Here are the settings I've tried so far in Control Panel:

Hi all,

at the bottom of most Digests it says do not send anything other than plain text posts. I wondered if the Symbian p800 mail client that sends in Unicode (UTF-8) would be in contravention of these current rules?

( I'm not very technical)

Incidentally, looking at the headers of an email from the p800 was fascinating, get this one for instance:

X-MAILER: EPOC EMAIL VERSION 2.10

Our Psions are still around but in deep disguise :o)

By the way if you delete an email from the p800 its gone forever, as I found when I accidentaly deleted the last digest. Hopefully I can read it once the website is updated...
