Who redirected his digest address to this address?

We're getting regularily bounced digests with the message "delivery temporarily suspended: connect to tom.torchboxapps.com[80.68.90.146]: Connection refused"

Please make sure with your ISP, that he no more bounces the digests.

With best regards

I have made many new friends as a direct result of seeing or having my e-mail address seen on lists/digests.  As a radio ham for over 35 years, I'm a communicator and find these spin-offs a major feature of using lists/digests.

If the Digest removed all eAddresses, then it would be a big degrading exercise.

On some newsgroups, I've even seen folk write that they have stopped generating helpful and detailed responses direct as they too often got bounced.

I support this, as too much bandwidth and time is wasted on this continually recurring topic.

I don't like long quotes without suitable deleting but the TFTD below is worth repeating so that I can read it and laugh again.

Subject: Psion 5mx for sale

Hi, all -

Happy New Year!  I'm clearing out some of my technology collection: my Psion
5mx is now on eBay
(http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5153299514). I'll
miss it, but my laptop is now almost as easy to carry around as my 5mx, so
it's time to cut down on gadgets. I'm also selling a Palm m515 and GPS
navigation, but that's not so exciting...

Best wishes

Mark Bridge

Has IR modem with my brother's new Palm Tungsten E? - Any link to EPOC / Symbian ? >>

Thanks Itamar for being so kind to point that...

First of all the string l'm looking for is the same I will eventually use with my MC218 coupled with my brother's Panasonic phone...

Secondly for the above reason I thought maybe some of the guys of this Digest (obviously not you) are using this same phone with their Psion...

Thirdly I remedbered this Digest as a friendly, open-minded and helpful place... But perhaps I was wrong...

Ciao for now & Happy New Year

Hi Thomas,
<<<<..my provider (freesurf.fr) marks spem with the word ***spem*** and you can automate.....
I think I will activate the "spem" folder, but I need to remind myself that whenever I am back at a Window$ PC I need to check the webmail interface....>>>>>

Is it to go through spamfilters that your machine spells "spem" ;-)
and why not using ER5+Opera5 to sweep up your freesurf spam box on the web (I do it once a week or so)?

Happy 5 +Y2K to all

Best wishes to all for the New Year.
I've been reading the Digest since 1997, and value all your ideas and comments.

I have an off-topic question - would love to receive responses off digest.

I just got a new Nokia 6230 -  my USA ISP is still far behind Europe in the phones offered, and my prime need was for a phone that will fit in a shirt or trouser pocker.

Has anyone used the IR feature to connect with an S5?   Any comments or advice regarding interface?    The phone also has a card that will talk to the PC via a card reader.
Thanks,
Paul Bishop   <address truncated>

Answer to: Moshe Nahir

Re.: 5mx replacement - The other option you have is to get a netBook or mBook, or a S7 and upgrade it to a netBook. It will give you your colour scree, an even better keyboard as well as WIFI but no bluetooth. However, you cannot hang it on your belt or put it in your pocket but if that is not a must it could be a better option for you than to continue with the 5MX.
