Due to the fact that the SPAM mails in the Digest mailbox grew to an impossible number (at 26 of Nov. we got 300 Spam and virus mails!), we were forced to change the main digest address. Please use as of now the new address<address truncated> for your contributions.
We would further like to ask you _in no case_ to write this new address in any Internet site. If you want to have a link to the digest, put a link to www.psioneering.co.uk/digest.html. At this site the digest address appears as an image file.
Thank you and regards,
The Digest Team

Re.: 5mx reloading Contact+ - In the main screen go to Menu - Tools - Preferences and tick show system folder. I am soooo long with the Psion that I had to scratch my head to find this as well <G>.

Subject: Be careful on eBay
Please be careful on eBay. I have bought several things with no problem. I usually use Papal. I have wanted a 9300 so I saw one on eBay and I started bidding for it. It was a guy with an email address of Sooner16......
It was auctioning for Euros and my bid was for the equivalent of $277 US and I won. I thought wow what a great price----------well yes it was a great price alright. He also requested I pay it with a bank draft or Western Union---I really wanted it so I sent a Western Union money order and he even sent me back some information even supposedly the shipping company a list of shipping numbers to sort through to find mine. That was three weeks ago and I haven't received anything yet and have since had an email from eBay telling me that that auctioneer's info was compromised and they have been banned from eBay. I had already sent the money and he had already received it. Not sure what else to do so I guess he has my money. I am usually pretty savvy about this stuff but it looks like I wanted the 9300 more then I really should have and am just out the money.
Thanks,
Bob

Subject: RE: The Digest V1 # 847
Please would someone be good enough and spend a little time in telling me how to get my netBook (software v 1.05 (450)) to wirelessly connect to an airport hotspot (i.e. Gatwick or Heathrow). I have read the article from Pscience5 and have gone to the trouble in buying the recommended Buffalo Air Station WLI-PCM-L11GP 11Mbps PC Card. I had hoped that the minute it was inserted within the netBook, the hotspot would identify it and allow me to get onto the web - sadly not. So far it's been an expensive mistake as I have been unable to read either my emails (ISP = btinternet.com) or browse the web.
What I would really appreciate is for someone to spend a little time and talk me through how I need to set it all up as I'm afraid there is a significant lack of advise in this regard and the only material I have been able to find is how to set it up with a home wireless hub and connecting to a PC - not much help when you want to connect in Starbucks or an Airport etc whilst on the road!
Any help anybody can be bothered to provide would be really appreciated.
Regards
David McCorquodale
