Has anyone else noticed problems with the way in which postings are being modified, presumably by the digest hanlding software? Every now and again words are joined together which should not be (and were not when the message was sent), presumably a end-of-line is being removed without a space being inserted instead. It's not a serious problem, but it could make some postings hard to read...
Cheers, Ian.

Re.: bt keyboards - No, I di dnot have any of the problems described, but it could well be that I started with the latest drivers. The only "problem" I have is that i cannot find out all the functions of the different buttons like Ctrl, Fn and Altgr and than there is that button with the home sign on it. i can't find any manual on the web either. Any idea where I can find the instructions ?

Can you please try and put a meaningful subject in the subject field and not just the header from the last digest ? It would make the list of subjects that much more meaningful and useful, specially for those using the html version where you can jump to and from subjects down and back to the list again.

Re.: Route 66 for UIQ - Thanks for your first impressions. It appears you have the European version of the program. I already have a car charger for my phone so that is not a problem. Great to hear you can use bluetooth talking while you use the navigation at the same time, that makes it indeed a lot more interesting. Allow me a few more questions :
- Does it have streetlevel for all the maps that come with the program ? I think with TomTom you have to buy maps separately for streetlevel in Europe.
- Does the program work with the flap close as well or does it have to be open ?
- Can you plan routes with multiple stops (stop-overs or via in the old Psion versions)
- Are you able to add overlays to the maps ? (like a database of speed cameras) ?
Thanks for your information, it sounds indeed interesting

Re.: Subject: What would you change about your Psion? - Pretty much nothing. My mBook is as complete as can be for what I use it for. Oh yes, bluetooth, USB ports etc. are all interesting and could add to it. But do I really need them ? No. With the Freedom bluetooth keyboard I can use my P910 whenever I don't hav emy Psion with me, but in the end the mBook is still my first choice.

Hi all,
Still lurking here after all these years (and still running a life with a 5mx), thanks to all of you who take such trouble to solve all manner of questions!
I read with interest that Austin had posted settings for the 6230i as I have so far failed to find any that work. But hunting back though my digests I can find no trace of them. Could anyone please send them to me or re-post to the Digest?
all the best
Chris

Hi Ian,
we know this problem, which appears, when Dick is on duty and copies the body text from his Psion to Eudora to create the digest outgoing mail. Our Digest creating program creates the body of the new Digest as textfile at the flash disk. Dick copies this file to the PC using a card reader at the PC, opens it an copies into Eudora. But Eudora swallows a lot of linefeeds during the send process, although the linefeeds are visible in the outgoing email text!
When the Digest is created and sent immediately from a Psion machine and in the html version of TheDigest this problem doesn't appear.
We will continue to find a solution.
May be someone can give some hints, how to copy cleanly a plain text file (with linefeed &0D0A instead of &06 and &07) into Eudora. (Is this a bug in Eudora??)
BTW: Copying the text file via infrared connection or PsiWin gives the same bad results.

Hi again
Oh dear that came out all wrong... I should have addressed my question to Austin! Its been a long day.
Austin, thanks for your sharing your work on your 6230i settings. The phone has been driving me nuts. I keep getting a message "Subscribe to GPRS First". I am of course already subscribed and encounter no such problems when switching back to my trusty S55. The error appears plenty of times if googled but I have yet to find a relevant answer.
I'm not sure why but I can't find the digest in which you posted your settings, could you possibly re-post or send them direct to me?
Many thanks
Chris
