My 5MX pro came back from Paul at psionflexi with a new cable - but I couldn't get the OS .img to boot. I had stored several copies on the Mac but I was getting weird messages in German telling me either to put the boot file in or that there was a problem with the disk.
In the end, I used the only other device I have with a CF; my Olympus camera 5060 W. I formatted the card on the Oly and then via the Mac's usb port, I copied the boot file from the Mac to the root on Oly's CF.
I put the card in the Psion and it booted like a charm.
Because in January my Revo was playing silly buggers and because I was down to my last Revo, I had the 5MX pro repaired and I also invested in the Nokia 9300. Then someone sold me a 9500 very cheap - with a French keyboard
I am now finding that the Nokia does almost everything I ask of it.
In particular, thanks, to Arjen and his two WONDERFUL programs : iDesk and AutoText, I am now navigating the Nokia with the same kind of ease I've always had with the Psion with Macro5.
Having known ER5, I cannot understand people who've migrated to Palm or MS.

Subject: Agenda Problem
I've been using Agenda on my netBook as follows: Each year I start a new file, i.e., 2005Agenda, 2006Agenda, etc. I zip the old Agenda file and store it.
I don't do a lot of Finds. But with the 2006Agenda file, if I try a Find, I get a blank window within the Agenda screen; nothing happens; and the only way out is to do a soft reset.
If before a soft reset I click on the agenda silkscreen button, nothing happens still, but if I then look at open programs, it shows not only "Agenda", but "agenda".
I tried using Find with the 2005Agenda file and it worked OK.
Any suggestions as to how I can cure this problem without tossing 2006Agenda and recreating a new one?

To Gareth J M Saunders and his friend of a friend, Bill, about the problems he's having trying to print (via PsiWin) all his contacts from his Psion Revo Plus:
The solution may well be the program c2f ("contacts to file") from Malcolm Bryant. It took just a few minutes to convert my 177 contacts to a text file and from that to an Excel file. Printing should not be a problem any more.

Good luck!

I Guess you mean Pulster: http://www.pulster.de/
A repair shop is SRS: http://www.srsgmbh.de/ They are not far from me, I've been there several times.

Subject: Toolbar Confusion
I did a soft reset on my 5mx, and now the bottom row toolbar is all messed up. The "Word" icon gives me Contacts. The "Sheet" icon gives me Agenda. The "Contacts" icon gives me email. The "Email" icon gives me Time. Now I'm wondering if this is happening because a while ago I restored the 5mx from the Revo that I was using temporarily during a repair (but I would have noticed it by now, I would think). Any ideas?

How about he prints to a PDF file (using PDF+) and then can print that at his leisure on a PC or whatever?
