Subject: Epoc to Mac
It looks as if at last we Mac users will be able to run PsiWin etc
etc on our Macs.

Even more exciting is the possibility that Mac OS and Windows/Linux
etc can be run simultaneously on the same machine:

Next 5mx Pro instalment in progress, will be continuing work over next few days. Thanks for the encouragement!
To All:
Many thanks for the help and comments on pIBeam on the Series 7. I've now got it fixed and it works great. BTW I also upgraded the S7 to 7Book and added the 32MB RAM module and IT'S great too!

Opera 5.14 on Malay Book
Yes I can confirm that Opera 5.14 installs on the MBook successfully and will by default replace v3.62. Even the silk screen icon will start v5.14. To all intents and purposes v3.62 ceases to exist (though it still lurks on the "Z:" drive). I believe that there is a utility that can be run that allows both versions to coexist, though the name escapes me. Having two copies of Opera available just seems too scary to contemplate :-)
What I haven't been able to do is install the Psion Web app on the MBook. Even though I have tried the MBook version of Web, it always reports that I don't have TCP/IP installed and terminates the install process. Of course, I do have TCP/IP installed as everything else (Opera, email, nFTP) works fine. So I am a bit stumped, but would like to have a lightweight browser as an alternative to Opera.
PDF Printer
Thanks for that Martin. If only I had spent a few more hours reading your excellent web site, I would have realised that there was a PDF writer program available. Fantastic. I will now get a copy.
David.

Susan, I haven't your original post to hand - is the post below the answer to your problem?

You'll have to delete the file C:\System\Apps\Shell\Shell.ini.
Do a warmstart immediately after the deletion and your icons will workagain. You will probably have to reenter some settings again.

Subject: Messed up toolbar is fixed
Much thanks to Chris Handley -- his program did the trick. I highly recommend it. And thanks to all the others who responded with their own suggestions. This is a wonderful community. They've just upgraded my office PC to Office 2003, and as usual, the young tech guys are salivating over my 5mx. PsiWin seems to work even better now. How I'd love to have a color 5mx with a built-in phone!
