Subject: To email experts regarding bounced mails

Hi email experts,

each time after sending the Digest, in our mailbox are abt. 40 bounced mails, mentioning, that the Digest is SPAM.

One of ISP told us, that we have to comply to the standards described in RFC 2822, an other one told us, that the subscribers have to enter a PTR-record for our IP address in the DNS, whatever this means.

I would like to discuss this matter with an email expert, to avoid the further bouncing e.g. by changing the email header or the sending procedure.

If there is someone of you, beeing able and wishing to help us, please reply by PM to<address truncated>

Best Regards

Rolf Vonau

Subject: XJMail and attachments

Hello All,

I'm trying to get XJMail to handle attachments properly on a 5mx.

Back on 5 Feb 2004 , Peter Rand had a very informative piece in Epoc
Digest Volume 01 : Number 440. Unfortunately the webaddresses for the
files no longer work and they don't seem to be available via the wayback
machine or a quick google.

Anybody know where following files are now (or have them  stashed away and
willing to let me have a copy) ?

Thanks in advance.

Robert

Yes, but perhaps he doesn't want to email the 900 other list members
a copy...

I found a plain text version by googling for "Ebony Bath".

Subject: Sandisk 2Gb CompactFlash and printing web pages

Hi all

I just bought a Sandisk 2Gb Extreme III CompactFlash Card for my camera. Some of you may be interested to learn that it works in my Psion 5mx, my partner's Ericsson MC218 and my Psion 7Book.  Personally, I don't (yet) have a need for that amount of storage on the Psion but it might be useful knowledge to someone.  It shows as 1.9G on the series 5 and 1,943M on the s7.  Imagine backing that one up over PsiWin!

Next, a question that I'm sure has been addressed before but probably without success.  I use Opera and Web and I also have pdfPrinter.  On my PC I often print web pages to PDF as the best way to save a copy and, now that I've got wireless internet access up and running on my 7Book, I'd like to do it on the Psion too.  Unfortunately, neither Web nor Opera have the ability to print.  Neither does a very good job of saving HTML either, though Opera is better, allowing images to be saved as well, but, once this data is transferred to a PC for printing to PDF the results are disappointing. Firstly, the page isn't always formatted as it originally was and/ or images or other parts of the page is missing.  By the time I have visited the site again to get the missing information it undermines the main benefit of using the Psion in the first place.

I did a hunt for a java browser, as the only sort likely to be still being developed that might be useable on a Psion was something that is platform independent, such as java.  I found one or two but have no idea how to use them so am a bit unstuck.

I also tried HTML editors for the Psion as another alternative approach but had no success there either.

Has anyone else solved the problem?

Best wishes
Austin

Of course, Itamar, you are right, but I think members' judgment about off-topic threads has been proven trustworthy... In fact, it's my fault and please excuse me...

Douglas Adams is not directly Psion connected but I just asked for help here imagining I'm not the only one Psionist to notice The Guide to The Galaxy described in Adams' novels is the nearest to a Psion machine ever present in literature that I'm aware of... Please don't castigate us, I plead not very guilty :-)

Best (and thanks for all the fish ;-)
