Hello Alan and Marcus,

I agree Alans explanation, but sometimes it gives problems.
Take Solun. Dave Rushall give use additional files and I can't place the files into \System\Apps\Solun and that is ridiculous.
Take the screendump function, when you make a screendump (Shift+Ctrl+Fn+S) I can't place the files into the system folder, but that's the place where Procyon (Shift+Ctrl+Q) is looking for his files.

Regards,
Kees.

There is a guestbook :
http://www.psioneering.co.uk/guest_book.asp.
But, as in this guestbook arrives on average 5 spam postings each minute, we stopped to serve it.

If you want to express your thoughts, it will be a good way, to use the digest itself.

Thank you, Ulrich, for your suggestion. We made now such a page:

Please don't put on your Internet sites any link to this page.

Subject: Finding Wifi connections, Htc TyTN, : Screen of S7/mN/nB,

Answer to: Chris Handley

Re.: Finding Wifi connections - That is a pitty that it does not exists. Would indeed come very handy. what do you mean with en "empty WiFi name" ?

Answer to: Mike Dyer

Re.: Htc TyTN - Well, not entirely true. I had an old Sony PDA that ran the the Palm software and I really disliked it. I used it for quite some time but decided against it and it is gathering dust in a drawer somewhere in the house. Maybe the later versions are considerably better. I still use my netBook for a lot of tasks and still get oh's and ah's from people who see the size and wonder what it does and where they can get it ....

Re. : Screen of S7/mN/nB - My screen started to act a little funny and I immediately pressed on the netBook sign and it came to full life again. Maybe it is advisable for S7/mB/nB users to press on the sign periodically even if you don't have problems just to make sure the connector stays in place ? In Dutch there is a saying "better to prevent than to cure".

Subject: E61 - User's View

Hi folks. Just wanted to say hullo and thought this might grab your attention :-)

I left this list 4 years ago and my last psion was 6 years ago but I have rejoined as I feel that my Nokia E61 is, in many ways, closer to psion machines than many devices I have used over the years.

The E61 gives me the same frisson I felt when I received a mailshot from Psion pre-announcing the Series 3. I ordered the 3 immediately and received one of first direct from Psion. What a machine that was. (I then had 3a, 3c, 5, 5mx, revo).

I have had nokia 7650, palms and, more recently, S-E p800, p900 & p910. With a new phone contract I have looked around and tried s-e m600i for a few days - classy but quirky and very tempting, 9300i - big, no 3g, nokia E70 - keyboard and pixel count is tempting but can't find it locally or on t-mobile. P990i - keyboard too small for me to use. Windows - big and expensive for keyboard models but quite tempting.

I opted for E61 because it was useable, syncs reliably with my Macbook, is small, intuitive and was great for email. Also able to get it free on t-mobile with webnwalk which is unmetered data useage saving me a lot per month. The t-mobile shop opened the box and put one of their connected sims in and let me play and that decided it, After 9 days use it has changed the way I do things just as my series 3 did.

I can go into more detail if folk are interested in further posts.

Subject: Dual_O Problems

Having problems utilizing dual_O to load both Opera 5.14 and Opera 3.62 on my Netbook.  It's actually a 7book, modified with a netbook personality module.  I have done soft reset, loaded dual_O, opened Opera 5.14 (it resides in ROM), opened dual_O and ticked start Opera 3.62.  It then tells me to load Opera 3.62.  When I do this, I then receive Kern 3 errors if I try to open Opera 5.14 or 3.62 using either dual_O and the silkscreen icon or trying to open Opera 5.14 from the application directly.  It also appears that Opera 3.62's application never does load.  When I open that application folder in the system file, there's no .app file to be found although there are other files there that seem to belong to Opera 3.62.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Opera 5.14 runs fine by itself, but I would like to use 3.62 for certain sites.
