- Second appeal - PsiWin / XP problem

Moshe,
another (partial) solution to your touch-screen problem is to use Fileswitch, available from FreEPOC: the link is
http://www.freepoc.org/viewapp.php?id=39. It won't help you open unstarted applications, but it *does* make switching between open applications much easier....
Cheers, Ian.

The inestimable app AutoType allows you to make shortcuts for jumping
up and down an open document.

As I have mentioned before, one of the worst failings of the Nokia
9300/9500 when compared with ER5 is the way the command key is now a
shortcut to the character sheet. Consequently, navigating through an
inestimable app like abp Bank is highly tedious.

Answer to Ray Upton:
It was ages before I realised & even then I kept forgetting, but on the 9500 the joypad can be used in conjunction with the Ctrl & Chr keys for many more navigation functons than the cursor keys. I think the reason this gets overlooked is that they both seem superficially to have the same function (except obviously in Web) & also the crazy idea Nokia had of putting the bluetooth, infrared & zoom controls on the Chr-cursor keys makes you think they completely forfeited the chance of doing advanced cursor control like on the Psions.
Anyway, here are the various navigation actions possible:
Ctrl-joypad-up/down/left/right:
Sheet: Move a screenful
Chr-joypad-up/down/left/right:
Move to the far edge of worksheet
Ctrl-Chr-joypad-up/down:
As Chr-joypad-up/down:
Ctrl-Chr-joypad-left/right:
Move to top-left/bottom-right of worksheet
Hope this helps

Subject: Second appeal - PsiWin / XP problem
No-one's responded to the query I posted a little while ago - repeated below. Perhaps because it's more to do with Windows XP than with PsiWin?
Anyway, if anyone out there can help - please don't be shy!
Thanks,
Chris

I've just reinstalled PsiWin v 2.3 on my PC, which runs Windows XP. I was logged on as Administrator to install it. I get the same problem I've always had with the PsiWin/XP combination: PsiWin works fine when I'm logged on as Administrator but refuses to connect when I'm logged on as a different user. How do I fix this?
TIA,
Chris

Subject: Unable to change Jotter data
I make heavy use of my jotter file, but lately I go to change information in one of my records and the change isn't accepted (and a new, blank record is created at the beginning of the file)
I have tried a soft reset - no joy

Subject: re:9500 sheet navigation
Hi Ray,
>>While on the subject of the 9500, I've got a large spreadsheet & it
takes ages scrolling from the top to the bottom & visa versa.<<
To go from top of sheet file to bottom, I press 'Chr' + mouse.
>>Does
anyone know of a quick way to move about the spreadsheet?<<
I also use 'Ctrl' + 'F' to find cells quickly by typing a partial search string.
Hope this helps.
