Subject: 5mx touchscreen problem
.........
The news is not good, though. I tried all kinds of reset - soft, hard and in between - to no avail. I even tried blackmail..
It looks like he problem is more serious. I think I will have to send the 5mx off for repair. If someone could recommend a place, I would greatly appreciate it.

Subject: Synchronising Agenda & Outlook (Office 2003)
Hi,
Does anyone have any tips/ideas/suggestions of how best to synchronise Agenda/5mx with Outlook/Office 2003-WinXP so I avoid all those duplicated and inaccurate entries that I got the last time I tried this??
Many thanks,

Subject: TomTom Navigator 5 re. Route66
Hi All,
Here a few observations comparing these two GPS route programs. I have started using the TomTom Navigator 5 after having used Route66 on my P910i for over a year or so. My firfst impression was that they look quite similar on the screen and in functionality. Out of the box they both install easily enough (at least for someone experienced with isntalling programs). An immediate observation looking at the CD / DVD is that TomTom still have the main roads map for Western Europe allowing for routes over several countries which Route66 does not have. TomTom comes with a lot more POI's and other information than Route66, but a lot of it you don't really need. It does come with speed- and other cameras for the UK about which more further down.
When I tried to enter a route I found something Route66 is definitely better at. In TomTom you can choose between the fastest or the shortest route but nothing else. In Route66 you can set the speed for each type of road and accordingly the program will calculate the fastest route as per the details you gave it. However, neither has the option to enter a preference for different types of roads like the Route- and streetplanner on the Psion had .... <sigh>. Both can enlarge or reduce the size of the screen but with TomTom whenever you get to a crossing where you need to act the screen will increase in size to clearly show the crossing and than reduce itself again. Nice. Route66 cannot search addresses from postcodes which TomTom can do. With Route66 you can adjust the 3D view from flat to very 3D which TomTom does not allow for. When you drive and you get near a speed- or traffic light camera the symbol for same will start flashing in the top left corner showing the distance to the camera until you pass it. You can also give it an audible sign but I di dnot yet manage to do that.
From what I can see sofar I think the TomTom software is more complete and somewhat better but the difference is not that big. However, I did not yet use the TomTom in full and so will report back hopefully in the future once I have had some more experience with it.
Best regards,
Itamar
