Hmm. indeed, I needed to repair it for the fourth time, after one month of service. :-(
It always starts to work fine, but it quickly deteriorates.
This time I also put a piece of paper under the clamp, by the advice of Christoph Pulster. Let's hope it is the last time.
I was reluctant to put a piece of paper under the clamp, because, as Christoph pointed out, you will need to push the clamp with more force and if it breaks, the motherboard is total loss. Anyway, it did not break.
Andy, can you keep me (and the Digest) informed on how the repair holds on your mBook ?
I can say from experience that you will improve your speed of dismantling netBooks if you have to do it several times.
Met vriendelijke groet, Salutations distinguées, Yours truly

Question on using Agenda. After 5 or 6 years, my agenda file is getting big (although not too bad as I don't use the links to sketch or To Do list). I know I can save it as an old agenda for backup purposes but I would then like to keep the last year only and clear the earlier 4 years for a smaller quicker Agenda? I see the 'Tidy/archive file' selection under the FILE menu- does that do exactly what I want?

Subject: Tom tom again
Answer to Itamar
I do not back up my HTC. the daily sync with Outlook for contacts, Email, is OK it's all I have on the main unit, all other programmes and files are on my 2 gig SD card. Which I backup by removing from the device and reading direct on PC. So much quicker. And a good job as I had one fail on me about a month ago.
The only problem I have with Tom Tom is when it starts up, it always starts in Holland and as soon as it connects with my Bluetooth GPS receiver it plans a route back to Holland.
I have tried Tom-tom support, how did you manage to get a response?
Where is the Folder 2577 I can not find one in my system?
Answer to Bob H
With the Nokia 9500 you need Tom Tom 5 I do not think it is available or supported any longer. It works very well on my 9500 and on a 9300 I still have
I have Tom-tom Home on my PC but with my Nokia 9500 connected Tom-tom Home does not see any Tom-tom software on my device.
I think Tom-tom for the Epoc range was called City Maps and En-route. But others will confirm or correct this.
As for the I-Mate Ultimate looks nice but as with a lot of these units until you get it in your hands it is pure guess work as to how it will feel.
I use an HTC Universal with a Dual sim card. A neat little device that puts a small programme on he unit to select which card you wish. I like the touch screen and screen size, I like the huge array of software available for Windows Mobile, The activesync programme is a dream, it connects every time 1st time. I like the way it reconnects to my Bluetooth head piece. The phone side of the HTC is appalling, if I am not connected to my Bluetooth head piece I miss 30% of calls as it is so slow to start up the caller has hung up before the phone is ready to answer the call
I hate the fact you can not sent a fax from the device, I get so frustrated that I have to reset the unit so often.
I also have a Nokia 9500 but keep trying to touch the screen.
It is quite slow compared to the HTC hopefully the E90 will be quicker,
The dual card work just as well in the 9500 you get an option in the main menu to swap.
The email programme is good but the PC synchronisation is not not sent items synced
I can not make up my mind between either device, I did recently try a UBiQUiO 501 but for some reason it would not accept my dual card Sim package. So was no use to me.
Has anyone out their tried the E-TEN Glofish 700
So for the long post
Kind Regards
Ashley
