Subject: E90
I have bought an E90, so I can suggest at least to WAIT to buy one. Beginning with office, the version of word and spreadsheet (3.8) is VERY basic and not suitable to anybody used to psion5mx (or even 5).You can upgrade online (22euro) but you dont get much more (yes, with version 4.5, CTRL C and CTRL V do work now, but they cannot be used to paste to other applications, only some, in particulary with notes or active notes). The shift key does not select, nor copy and paste on multiple cell, not to mention sort or graphs.Really I dont understand why, having a so good (and INTEGRATED) word and spreadsheet in psion 5 they choosed a so primitive office! For the rest of E90: it is difficult to install anything the worked on other 60 3d version of the operating system, due to a certificate and/or incompatibility problem.I dont mention their agenda: the functionality are very basic (forget the psion agenda!), but it appears impossible to tidy/archive, for instance, the old year to avoir to have a very big, slow (and, in case of hardware or software problem subject to total data loss). The Gps apparently can receive only five satellites, but besides that is VERY slow (not even comparable for instance with a pocket pc MIO 168 with the old chipset SIRF II).
About the keyboard, when folded it touches the screen, leaving marks (maybe in the long time could scratch it).

Re.: Blackberry 8300 - I suppose you could do more or less the same with a phone like the Qtek or similar one from different make and havemuch better software included. It could work out more expensive in usage but I don't really know that.
Best regards,
Itamar

Re.: email with MC218 and/or S7 - I stil have a mBook ROM lying around and if you want it let me know.
As to your question re. emailing, the Psions by themselves of course cannot connect as there is no modem inside it. You will need an external modem. If you connect it to a PC you can use the program MochaPPP which you can take with you on a small disk (oldfashioned floppy) and use from the disk. Or you can try and use a phone with a modem but than you use GPRS which is more expensive.
Best regards,
Itamar
