Thanks for the suggestion, Itamar, but I have:
- Text notes in Word
- keyword based notes in Data I keep adding to
Writing in the editor is of course less confortable than in Word, I
sometimes do, I could probably copy Word Text in Editor and save it fom
there, and save/open Data docs as text.

thanks,

Thanks! Exactly. But I already have the Dacom card and it would be nice to
be able to use it w. the Mac...

I know of a few free Windows utilities for file recovery:

Smart Recovery 4.5 (most Memory cards, USB drives/keys and removable media). http://www.majorgeeks.com/PC_INSPECTOR_smart_recovery_d5040.html
CDCheck 3 (CDs and DVDs)

Hi,

Put the MMC card in a PC reader and image copy it off - thus it have a saved copy. Then I expect there is a PC tool to undelete the file/examine the disk.

In times of trouble, I would always revert to a big system to sort out issues like this, where there are lots of tools available.

Let us know how you get on.

Rolf when I bought a CF card for my camera, it came with a program to recover 'lost' picture files.  I guess it's a Windows only program, as I've never used it.

As you have a MMC it may not work, as I understand these cards do not have the disk controller within the card, as with a CF card.
