Don't bother trying to copy it. The Explorer will NOT be able to do it correctly.

NO!
Absolutely NOT!
What you need to do is use a program that READS the CF and rebuilds the files in another location.(the HDD maybe.)
FileRescue Professional may be able to do it.
http://www.objectrescue.com(I usually use it to recover data from damaged HDDs)
It's well worth the cost...
Remember, ANY attempt to 'recover' data ON the CF itself will most likely make it even worse...
Also, get your wife a NEW CF-card afterwards. The old one may not be trustworthy.

Hello all
I know, the E61 should be all right for getting one's e-mails or reaching a web site but should I want to send a .doc file from my 5MX, I'm not sure I can first send it to the Nokia then use the latter to mail it in a readable format. How can I then use it as a mere modem ?
Thanks for yr advice.

A desperation measure to find vital information is to try opening such a corrupted file in your PC word-processor. You may find you've got all the text, buried in a huge amount of junk code.

Firstly thanks to all for advice on Psion 5 email.

Thanks

What has happened to my last posting.
All the line feeds and carriage returns got lost.
So I'm sorry that it's so difficult to read. For this posting I've used 3 blank lines between paragraphs, to see how it displays.
This is probably yet another problem with the BlackBerry. It's a bit odd as my postings to a Yahoo list gets the single blank lines converted into 3 blank lines.
