Subject: Tone in a S80

Hello,

I can give every user in my contacts, Nokia S80, an other tone. Go to you contact. Open the card. Push (Ctrl+R) and select the tone you want for that user. After that go to 'Telephone' push (Shift+Ctrl+P) Profile preferences, choose your profile, go to personal tone and set it to 'on'.

I did that all, but for that contact I get always the general tone.
I delete the contact and I introduce the contact after that as a new contact.
With the same result, the general tone.
Then a reset
Same result, always the general tone.
I delete the contact from the simm-card, but it is in my contacts.
Reset, and I got the general tone.
I made a group, put that contact into that group
After that to 'Telephone' (Shift+Ctrl+P), last card (play for)
Tone - All calls.
Vrienden - Yes.
Same result, the general tone.
Reset
Same result, the general tone.

Now my questions:
1 - What did I wrong or
2 - What else could I do, to let it work???

Kind regards,

Kees.

I would like to thank Austin and Richard for their kindness sending me links for Mobipocket.  It is wonderful how us Psion folks stick together.  I wish all of you and yours a very happy holiday season from Washington State, USA.

Thanks,
Bobby

I haven't actually tried it, but it looks like you can get it from the following address:

http://www.soft32.com/download_153488.html
I think it's standard for all Epoc devices. Then use the free code CGHYCXYL to turn into a fully working copy.

Hope this works,

Ed.

P.S. Failing that, send me an email, and I can let you have my .sis file - ed (dot) kaneen (at) tiscali (dot) co (dot) uk.

I'm not sure if this machine has been mentioned on the Digest before, I only
came across it myself recently. I've not bought one yet, but hopefully after
Christmas!!

It seems a worthy contender as a replacement Psion 5Mx, although it's size
is closer to the 7 I guess, I've not compared the actual sizes. A review of
the machine is here:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,2209847,00.asp
Although there are plenty of other sites, including this forum:

http://forum.eeeuser.com/index.php
It's currently being sold in UK for £220-230 yes that cheap!! Hence it
grabbing my attention...  OK it runs Linux rather than Windows Mobile or XP,
but you can load a cut down version of XP if you wish. I will leave it on
Linux, as I'm already a happy Ubuntu Linux user myself.

Check it out...

Regards and Happy Christmas

Steve

When I used my Ericsson MC218, it came with a handy programme called "My Pocket" which enabled you to synchronise files over "Epoc Connect" (the generic version of PsiWin). However, it turns out this was specific to Epoc Connect. Now I'm using a netBook with PsiWin, it doesn't work anymore.

I gather that TomTom (who wrote it) produced a version that worked with PsiWin. Does anyone have it anymore, as TomTom don't seem to?

Many thanks,

Ed.
