Subject: Asus eeepc dependability
AJ,
Everyone should search youtube for the video of some guy who dropped his Asus eeepc off of stair rails and tables and chairs. Brand new and it kept on ticking! If I remember, he was dropping it open and closed onto carpet and concrete floor. Literally made me cringe to watch the abuse to a laptop. Not a flimsy plastic box!

Aj,
You might want to look at another Asus eee. The space bar on mine
works fine wherever I press on it. You might have a problem that can
be fixed under warranty.

Subject: Dropped my 5mx
I sent off a 5mx to Canada for repairs and then this morning dropped my spare. The keyboard popped out on the left side. Everything else is working ok.
It looks as if I could force the right side in by flexing the keyboard. Any advice before I give it a good try (have tried it gently with no result so far)?

Subject: Ref: battery life Asus Eee 901
* Conclusion of the test of 4 machines (EEE 900/901, MSI U100 WIND, * Dialogue Flybook V5-U76 and Vyenote S18) was: wait for the Asus EEE * 901.
Hello Gerrit,
That's a conclusion I need, because i work now with a Psion netBook with a netBook CE battery. This battery gives me 11 till 12 ours current, that's much more then the 6 ours, but the 6 ours is much more then the 3,5 ours, so I'll wait for the 901. And the 6 ours is the same as a original Psion netBook battery.
Regards,
Kees.
