Subject: Prepaid SIM cards in France
Hello all
To:Bob and Loris Hancock
Try the foll. link (in French, even though Virgin is very British...)
http://www.virginmobile.fr/mon_offre.php?famille=5
Seems you can get yr card within 48h, all through the web, once you are in France. Cost per minute is not cheap but SMS is 0,10 ¤.
Kind regards

Paul,
I have the EEE 900 and run Psion Emulator on Puppy Linux (a Puppy derivative, DingoPlus, loads itself in ram, making the system very fast).
But the Emulator does well in Wine, even for a Linux noob like myself, and I do so to work with Data files (and do a poor man's one-way desktop sync with my Mako by dropping Mako's Agenda and Contacts file in the appropriate Emulator directories).
Given that you already have 7-hour battery life, you may not need DingoPlus. But the whole OS (including AbiWord and OO) is only 250mbs, and can be installed/booted from USB stick/SD, so it might be worth playing with. Browsing is very fast. No sound yet or wifi toggling, so I'm hoping for
that in the next release.
