Subject: DreamConnect problem
Hello,
Whenever I start DreamConnect an error message is shown: "Bad request". Does anyone have an idea what I can do to make it behave normally again. By the way, DreamConnect is a good data program and it is somehow odd to see it not mentioned on any of the lists?

Update on my phone, Itamar? It's brand new. Of course, T Mobile offered it for $35 without requiring a contract extension so I assume it's an older model 6610. I guess I'll just have to get used to moving the time 5 hrs up when I ir an appt from he s5. Since it has to be saved to the phone calendar anyway it's just an extra step.

"where to find MBornes and Coffee games?", Itamar
Dear Itamar , sorry for taking so long to reply about where to find my favorite card games for Psion. I was looking through all my mags, and notes, and could not find it before I noticed I could find the link from the game itself on my 5mx. When I am s ying I am not using the little machine to 15% of its potential I am not lying ! However, I really wonder how I found these programs on the first place... I think I got them from the Palm CD shareware, I am not sure.
Anyway, I have checked the links and they work. Good thing I did because i found not only the COFFEE solitaire cardgame available but also PSICards with 6 games in one programme, which I downloaded straightaway.
The link is:
www.pocketiq.com
it says the coffee is based on the cardgame called GOLF, may be that rings you a bell.
The second one, the french game MILLE BORNES, is here:
www.chez.com/fredbotton
Let me warn you about its welcome line : " What's new? 7th of January, 1998 " :)
Despite of this, the website seems to work. there are 2 versions of the game. The cards are pretty with accidents, traffic lights, speed limit, petrol tank, spare wheel etc, etc It is a game of attack and defend with your hand of cards and be the first to build up 1000 miles, for wich you need to have the GO light card on the table. English rules.
Have fun! Fer, regards from SKorea.

I played with it all afternoon yesterday and I think that this is finally an almost perfect replacement for my Revo.

Subject: New Nokia 9xxx?
There's a rumor going round that Nokia is going to announce a successor to the 9210 next week. Apparently the new machine will have a touchscreen and a stylus - maybe this machine will replace my aging Psions...

Subject: REVO batteries (again) and new version ?
Dear All,
One of the subscribers sent me the following information :
Quote ...
Although the following information - gleaned from the Revo expert at POS Services when I rang about my own Revo - may be a bit too late for your own immediate benefit, it might be useful for someone else (feel free to post it to the Psioneering list or wherever you think it would be relevant):
1) Revos did indeed suffer from many battery problems. When POS now replaces the batteries + cable and/or power PCB controller - all 3 of which could and did commonly develop faults in the past - they use versions far superior to the original. Sure eno gh, after two services to have my machine resuscitated and all three parts replaced, it now works just fine (b'li ayin hora). No matter how long or short the recharge past 100% on the gas guage, I always get a decent, reliable full one week's usage, minim m. No more sudden deaths in the middle of typing out an important letter for someone, like happened before...
2) POS plans to release what will amount to a souped-up version of the Revo in about 6 months time (keep watching their website for details). Actual specs are still being decided, but it will most likely have a colour screen (a monochrome version might also be available), and should have Bluetooth capability and lotsa RAM. If the techies get their way, it should also include a microphone. It will run either EPOC or Palm OS; they've yet to decide.
Me thinks they should stick to EPOC, for all sorts of reasons, not least of which is the fact that they have most experience with it. What do you say?

I can't verify the correctness of the above information, but it certainly does look interesting ..... ??!!

Answer to: Gary Y Reyes
Re.: TREO or Clie for Word and Sheet - I quite agree with you, and have said so myself as well. However, for serious spreadsheets also the 5MX and Revo are rather small and really only the S7/nB are really good tools for these, also because of the colo r screen.
Answer to: Chris S Handley
Re. netBook Pro Symbian - You wrote "I think it is quite likely that a lot of the EPOC program authors who have moved to Symbian would be very keen on porting their EPOC programs (if not already done) to Symbian". That will depend entirely on whether t e machine will be in general sales or only a special order. If it will not be readily available with few numbers sold it will not be worth their while to do so. Also, if it will not be a platform for further development with a future, why should they ?&nb p; And do we all have to pay again for the upgrade or not ? If not, what incentive would these authors have to do it ?
