<< Does this mean you can have multiple messages open at the same time and jump from one to the other ? >>

You certainly can, which is really useful - definitely not one of those niggles.  I suppose if there is a downside to this, it's that you can easily forget they're open & leave loads of old emails open at once by mistake.  But I've found that even if you leave an email open & then delete it from the folder view, when you do go back to it, it tells you it's been deleted & then exits that view of it.

Chris/Keith

Many thanks for the complements!  To be honest I am just really happy that I started the enterprise as I have had nothing but praise from everyone.  For info I shipped/repaired my 1000th flexi about 2 months ago and I now supply/repair to 44 countries!

Keith, on the problem you had with your flexi.  The profile of my original flexi mimicked the original.  However, further analysis of incoming original flexi's showed that the 'slot' between the main connections and touch parts of the flexi was a failure point and caused a fatigue crack to appear across the touch screen tracks (the cause of your problem).  I have recently released version 2 of my flexi's that has this excessive slot reduced so that it is supported by the main PCB on the screen.  I have also added selective plating to the finish on the flexi to make it easier to solder.

I am also working on version 3 and 4 of the flexi plus a couple of other ideas!  Version 3 will have some fantastic changes that will make it a breeze to solder and have built in military style redundancy!  I like to enable 'the public' to make use of my military skills/experience!  Version 4 is a total redesign of the entire flexi concept to try to eliminate the problem with the flexi's FOR GOOD!  I will keep you posted.  I am also looking at an LED backlight option to replace the frequently fading EL backlight on the Psions (and save considerable battery life).  I am even investigating one that changes to different colours (of your choice) every time you turn the backlight on!  Some feedback on this idea would be appreciated!

For information, I have also added a 6 month warranty on my new series 2 flexi's

Hope that helps.

Regards

Paul

Subject: 9300 coming to the States-----finally

I have been seeing adverts on the TV the last week or so here in the States for the Nokia 9300.  If Psion would have done that years ago, they might have sold a lot more over here and it might be a different story today. They are showing teasing views of it.  I know from seeing it on the web in magazines and other places that it is a cool machine, but they are sort of sexually advertising it.  Like I said just a tease---meant in a good way, by the way.  :o)  I think that if I had the choice I might go for the 9500 as it has more capability from what I have read.  But the 9300 is smaller and might be great to have also.  I just think unless they have contracts that over $800 is a lot of money.  If a good contract would come out than I would think of it.  I have my N-gage QD and I have as many programs on it as my Psions so it's a great little machine for what I need at a great price.

Thanks,
Bob

I'm not sure what you mean by this... Of course when Agenda is running, it
will usually be on the "today" view, but this does not apply in the case that
Agenda is not running at all. I also changed the System view from "today" to
"files", but that did not help either. Was one of these what you meant? If
not, then..

I tried to change the config-- now I get a program failure, reason KERN-EXEC,
reason number 3. Do you have the author's e-mail address?

advTHANKSance,

They sold me a refurbished Psion. It lost its charge very quickly.
They accepted it back for repair and then returned it to me, at
considerable cost. Unfortunately, the problem was not solved and I
couldn't use a machine that needed to be recharged in under two days
(while turned off).

Subject: Sale of Revo & netBook connectivity question

I have an un-used UK Psion Revo 16mb. I bought it to supplement my netBook,
(just before the end of the Revo production line, so it is one of the last
UK manufactured units) but in the end found that for such a system to work
effectively there needed to be a synchronisation program that could run
between the Revo and netBook. I couldn't find one and didn't therefore
pursue the issue, relying instead on carrying my netBook around with me,
from which I am now communicating.

The Revo is, truly, in mint condition, the batteries have only done one
recharge cycle and were allowed to naturally run down to avoid memory effect
etc.

I am keen to sell it as it is a waste for me to hang on to it, however it
could really help someone else more deserving. Could someone give me a clue
as to a realistic price for a unit such as this (obviously it has the
desktop base, Psion OEM travel charger and some spare stylii. EBay are
selling Revos for as little as £30-£40 and I am certain they have been well
used which is why I haven't pursued that course yet.

Finally, does anyone know if I can get my netBook to communicate through
WiFi. I am able to link to my ISP through my Psion Gold Card PCMCIA 56k+Fax
modem but would like to communicate more speedily using (I believe WiFi).
What about GPRS as an alternative, although WiFi is I think, faster?

I welcome your greater knowledge and assistance

Regards

David McCorquodale

Hi Itamar,
Yes, this is right. You can open the tasklist in Menu and jump to any of the opened messages or to other open applications / documents.
