Subject: Scrambled digests #1026 and 1027
Hi all,
we apologize to you for the scrambled digests, in which are lost all line feeds during the sending/receiving process.
As I couldn't yet get a reply from the Googlemail help desk, I would like to ask you to help.
This is the email I sent to one of our subscribers:
----------------
As you may know, Dick is sending the Digest using our account in GoogleMail. The other team members use theyrs Psion machines for sending.
Unfortunately we did not yet find a method to change the Content-Transfer-Encoding mode for outgoing mails from "Base-64" to e.g. "quotes printable" or to "7 -bits". Even the Googlemail help line did not yet reply to my question on this matter.
I will put that question in the next digest. May be one of our subscribers knows the answer.
We should find a solution, before Dick will be again on duty.
May I ask you for the time beeing to read the scrambled digests at our Internet site

Thank you for your understanding

Subject: Qtek 9100
Answer to: Allan
Re.: Qtek 9100 - I had my P910 for over 2 years as well and the plastic around the outer keyboard (numbers) started to show wear and tear and I had a scratch on the screen. I think I already answered some of your questions in the last digest and will not repeat myself (unfair to others).
- I don't need inbuilt GPS, I only use it in the car where a Bluetooth connection sits safely on the dashboard.
- As said there is an awful lot of free software around, more than you and I wil ever use.
- I did not invest in the Qtek 9100, Vodaphone gave it to me for free with the renewal of my contract. Accordingly I had to take their model and could not take the TyTn. It doesn't bother me, I don't need 3G.
- to make a call you press the left phone button and you get the screen with the keypad to dial a number. It is easy enough to touch the screen with your nail, no need for the stick.Of course you can also open the contacts and dial from within a contact. I agree there is something to say for physical number keys, but I suppose the world advances ....
- No reboots or crashes. Sometimes when there is no connection to the PC I do a reboot which is easy enough with the stick on the side of the phone, and the phone comes up automatically again to the Today screen within abt. 1 minute. Otherwise, sofar no crashes.
- synchronisation - already answered
- I did not consider the P990 or similar. As said, I am not prepared to buy new software (versions) every 2 years with my next upgrade.
- I am not a heavy phone user, just a few calls a day, so the phone part is just part of the total functionality and the quality not of utmost importance. The phone works very well, no complaints, but can't say if the SE is better or not.
- General quality, well, I dropped it on a stone floor and it has a scratch on the side, but it looks pretty strong to me. It did not fall apart in pieces.
Of course, still missing Macro5 which I have on the netBook but does not exist on the Symbian machines either ....
Best regards,

Subject: sync Revo with Sunbird/Thunderbird?
I'm thinking about switching from MS Office to OpenOffice, but I don't want to miss the sync function which works so well with Outlook. Does anyone know how to sync a Revo with Sunbird/Thunderbird (on WinXP)? (Sorry if this question is a throwback to the old EPOC days...)
