Re.: Getting there - I think that the main turning point for Psion was their failing to enter the USA market which meant they could not compete with Palm who was at the time the main player and that meant they oculd not get the quantities needed in order to grow and continue. But anyhow, it is history.

Re.: Question to the Subscribers - The suggested name(s) was not to exclude any one device or another so I understand your remark. See further my separate message to the digest.

Subject: Question of the future
Dear All,
With 26 answers received the "score" is 22 in favour of making changes and 4 against. Some people answered they would like to discuss only Symbian matters. Please note that over a year ago it was already decided to widen the scope of the digest to include all Symbian machines so if you have any questions about ANY Symbian phone or machine, don't hesitate to post them on the digest !!
With over 700 subscribers 29 answers is only 4% and we would like to receive more answers in order to make a decision based on a larger percentage to avoid a situation where a silent majority is against a decision but did not cast their vote ... and thanks a lot to those who already answered.
Best regards,

Subject: the big question ?
Itamar and the Digest Team
I've had a Psion since the 3, (bought it in a Edge shop in America while on my honey moon) then later a S5 even bought a S5 for my wife and son and took them back again as my original S5 died and my wife could not understand hers and my son opted for a Palm that he could easily link with his Apple at work and at home,
Then I had an opportunity to purchase a S7 from some ones son on the list it was fine But I did not research it enough and I do not have WiFi connecting ability and I find it too heavy as a PDA and the battery situation is just not as good as the S5 (any corner store in any part of the world sells AAA s (G) Now the S5s are all "resting in an "archive museum bottom drawer" I can't bring my self to throw them out and the S7 is a side desk top PDA calendar and calculator contacts . Wasted but it runs OK on the transformer.
The contacts are duplicated in a Nokia 9500, (One for my wife also so we could coordinate our calendar, but she really does not understand it ) She's more the artistic type;-)
So I guess what I'm trying to say here is please keep the digest going in some format even if it is just for me to ask a dumb Nokia 9500 question that my local Cell phone service provider can't answer (and for sure my wife is no help) I do pick up a lot of tips just lurking and reading and following the various threads or even the occasional adventures of our veryown Norwegian Sailor Owen or Eric's cycling adventures.
You and your team do a wonderful job particularly for someone like me isolated down under in the land of Cricket, "Coldies" and Common palm tops. and no other 9500 user in the vicinity as far as I can see.
Cheers
