How to lose information the easy way on a netBook:
Open Jotter.
Fail to notice that the file you've opened is actually from your backup folder on the D drive.
Enter data to your heart's content.
Backup C drive with FastBackUp (which obviously isn't to blame for the inevitable consequences). Feel virtuous about this hygienic and all too infrequent action.
Later, open Jotter again. Realize you're looking at the older version, which had been sitting on your C drive, growing obsolete, until it overwrote the newer version.
I just had to express my feelings after this happened to me a few minutes ago.

Subject: Searching for macro: 'lowercase.opo'
A very useful macro that I've enjoyed using is called 'uppercase.opo'. It simply converts a string of highlighted text to upper case.
Does a 'lowercase.opo' also exist? I did a web search yesterday, but came up blank.
A macro which converts a string of highlighted text to lower case would be very useful to me. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

Subject: Link to some Psion/Symbian history
I was reading an article at <http://tinyurl.com/2mzt36> and thought it might be of interest to Digest readers. The articel comes at the topic from an Apple iPhone perspective but does cover a quite a lot of material on the Psion early years.

To Karl Wagner :

I cannot use my PC at present. But I know the mistake I made : I didn't search hidden files ! The Outlook ".pst" files are certainly hidden.
Deleting the different views in Outlook might be a cleverer way, because you delete only the wrong datas (Are mailbox parameters and other parameteres contained in the *.pst file or in another ini file ?).
Vielen Dank fuer die Antwort !

I have had excellent results with Maha's 2700mAH NiHMs and their MH-C401FS charger.

Subject: Low battery, why ?
I charged my netBook yesterday to full battery capacity, switched it off and closed it. The only programs open wer : Email, ChaDis7, Merlin, Macro and Assistant and it was left on the main screen. The wifi card was definitely outof the slot.
I did not open it until tonight 8.15 pm and the battery was very low, warning coming up on the screen. What drains the battery in this situation ? It happens quite often to me and when traveling you think you have a full battery with you when in fact it is empty. AQny idea ?
