To Robert:

*  My question concerns what speed CF to get.

*  It crossed my mind that the limiting factor is quite possibly the NB *  interface rather than the card itself. So, in the real world will I *  see any performance benefit with a x133 card over say a x66 or a x80?

Hello Robert,

You are right, the limitation is your nB.
I work with a basic Kingston 1GB and a SanDisk Ultra II, and I think that the Kingston is faster in my nB. When you buy a fast card, the benefit is in use with your computer, not with the Psion.

Regards,

Kees.

Hi,
On my MalayBook's SanDisk CF card, I have a rogue file that I can't get rid of. It purports to have the impossible filename "  ing.ks.  " (with a full stop at the end); when I click Ctrl-P for its properties I get "Not found" and the same when I try to delete it or rename it; in the system screen it claims to be 1200 MB in size (not bad for a 256 MB card!)- but in the directory tree it claims to be about 28 MB.

A soft reset doesn't remove it. The only minor nuisance it creates (apart from the memory it uses) is that it causes an error message when I backup to my PCD via PisWin.

Any suggestions?

} I've been using the "press hard on the logo badge above the

}
} Does anyone know a place to get the mBook screen cable

Andy it's almost certainly NOT a faulty cable, simply a bad connection
of the cable into it's connector.

I had the same problem on my S7 and nB.  I did the 'repair' myself.

Take the Psion apart, remove the cable, clean and re-assemble.

Alan
