Thanks for the correction!  I never did like the "Send via" menu, as
it always seemed mostly superflous (e.g. send via email - I can do
that using Messaging thank you very much, without it being hard-coded
into every app).

But I don't think this helps Donald, because neither Acrobat Reader
nor PDF+ have a "Send via Fax" option (or indeed any "Send via" option
at all).  If only Nokia had done Faxing via a virtual printer like
everyone else...

I am trying to use the COMMS application to transfer several files from my Psion 5 to my Psion 5MX Pro.
This is not working
++++++++
Why make things difficult. Highlite the files and click on the silk screen IR icon.  Send on one and receive on the other.

Hello Martin
Can u confirm that the 9500 would not act as a IR Fax modem (ie. faxing docs right from my netbook/5mx using the the IR port from netbook to 9500s IR port as the modem)

Hi,
the postings conc. faxing with the commi remember me, that I have problems, too.
I can send faxes with the email/fax application. But when I send a fax to my mobile phone, it will be received only by the mailbox.
I'm looking for a possibility to make the incoming faxes visible at the commi as text or pdf or any picture.
Or is there a possibility to receive faxes directly with the email/fax application?

Can anyone help me?
BR
Rolf

I think your response above was to my comment that I couldn't find a Java VM for Windows Mobile 6 and therefore couldn't run JABP. Well, before you responded above, JABP's author - Malcolm Bryant - was in touch and gave me the same news. When I downloaded the VM runtime environment it said it was a 90 day trial but there didn't seem to be any way I could buy it. The old links you find on the web to this product on the Handango website are all broken, so in the meantime it is good to know it won't grind to a halt while I continue to find ways to purchase it!

Anyway ...

If there is anybody out there who would like a seriously good quality personal banking application for their Windows Mobile device (WM5 or 6, and earlier versions as well I'm sure) then you should check out JABP at www.freepoc.de. Windows Mobile devices do not have a VM build-in - unlike most SE Symbian devices - so you will have to download the IBM JAVA VM as per Sári's comments above (actually I downloaded it direct from IBM's website). I have been using this program on many different platforms for about 10 years and can strongly recommend it. Oh, and it's freeware (REALLY!).

Thinking of changing Itamar ? ;-)

All the best from Dublin, Ireland

Alan
