Subject: Data loss sickness
I'm reeling. This morning my 5mx rang once to wake me up and then froze. Eventually I had to pull out batteries to hard-reset it.
No problem: I fired up FastBackup to restore my stuff. My last backup, safely stored on the D-drive, dated from yesterday. I hit the button and after a surprisingly short time it told me it had done the job.
Only, I hadn't hit Restore but Backup. I'd copied my pristine, newly reset, nearly empty C-drive into my backup folder and overwritten everything there.
My backup on the PC is four days old. Things could be worse. But they could also be rather better.
