Subject: Switch from Psion to eeepc (Linux).

Hi all,
For the past 6 years I have survived worldwide (especially China, Kazakstan and Turkey) using Psion 5mx and 7. All worked well for what I wanted but nowdays a little too limited, so I am trying to get to grips with my new eeepc 901 Linux. Not getting on very well as I'm no geek. Please can someone supply a few answers?
       1. I am told that there is system called 'Epoc Emulator' which can be put on to Windows. Can it also be used with Linux?
       2. Is there any way I can continue to use my phone (Nokia 6230i) with the eeepc, as a modem?  If not possible can anyone suggest what plan for connection might be best? With the Psion I would buy sim cards in the countries I visit. How do I access wifi as I travel. Are there any international systems?
       3. Pardon my ignorance, but I liked POP3 mail on the Psions. How do I set POP 3 mail on the eeepc?
       4. Finally, a Psion question - why am I unable to download text messages from my Nokia 6230i phone, using 'phoneman', but with my Nokia 6310i it works without any difficulty?
Any thoughts, ideas, advice, answers gratefully received.
Best wishes to all,
Richard.
