Subject: Email on Psion
I use my Psion 5MX for receiving and sending Email on a daily basis.
I have posted my experiences on my website TOBIDOG.COM.
SMTPAuth and XJMail both work very well but the setting up instructions do need to be followed carefully.
SMPTAuth has the disadvantage of using quite a bit of memory as well as needing JAVA to be loaded.
XJMail uses rather poor typefaces and thus lacks readability. The source is available and I am looking at the code (OPL) to see if it can be enhanced.
I have to use one of these 2 programs to send with my Nokia N73 as the modem only works if authentication is used when sending.
As I like to keep things simple in practice I use a Nokia 6310i as a modem and have taken a low cost subscription to SMTP.com and use their outgoing server with my usual email address. SMTP.com do not require authentication and they avoid spammers by other means.
I wonder who Kees email provider is?

Subject: JavaPsionLink
I am experimenting with this program but SUN no longer provide a Windows version of the Java software needed to access the rs232 port on my pc. They suggest a generic version plus some 3rd party software.
This is getting complicated! Can anyone let me have some advice on how to set PsionLink up.

Subject: JavaPsion Link
I have found a copy of javacomm20-win32.zip at www.freepoc.org/download/javacomm20-win32.zip
When this is unzipped
1. Place win32com.dll in directory c:windows\system32
2. Place javex.com.properties in the \lib\ subfolder in the JRE (Java runtime envireonment)
3. Place comm.jar in \lib\ext subfolder of the JRE.
JavaPsion link then runs ok. I can see its use for non Windows environments but will stick with PSIWin for now.
