Keith/Robert

I run  <file://www.psionflexi.co.uk> www.psionflexi.co.uk and see this problem all the time!  The symptoms you describe are typical of a flexi problem.  Robert, the problem you describe is what happens just before the flexi breaks. Just before the flexi breaks, the resistance of the flexi goes up and it becomes impossible to actually get close to point 2 on the screen. Given a few more open/close cycles the flexi will break completely and then you will loose all the touch function.

I would be happy to replace your flexi and any other parts that you need.

For more information, pricing and to order please see

This is a sign of an almost broken screen cable. You should have them repaired, as long there are screen cables on the market.

Psee you,

The TomTom programs (Collins, Streetand Roadmap) tie the machine ID into the app file the first time you run it. You need a fresh, unused appfile.

OK, that is fine.
1. Reinstall or recopy the *.app file from your download.
2. copy it a second time and rename it *.app.org or whatever.

Should you need to switch the machines, you can delete the *.app file, copy the *.app.org file and rename the copy to *.app. That is all.

Psee you,

Armin

On one screen I was able to do this by first clicking above point 1 as far as the screen frame. I was able to click on point 1 after the first try. Calibrated several more time to make sure all was OK.

Thanks, Robert.

When I tried the 2nd 5mx screen I was unable to make it work. I clicked all over the place but was always too far from point 1. Maybe that 5mx has a ribbon problem.

Obviously this could be the best solution for Nicky's problem with Vista, but I'd just like to record that, as an XP user, I backup with PsiWin with no problems. In the past I had problems with using a card-reader to copy my CF card to the PC I think it was something to
do with the process hanging whenever it decided it didn't like a file name.

I've set up PsiWin to autobackup weekly. Auto + daily was a pain, & non-auto was risky.

I also use FastBackup to save daily to my CF card.
