I am surprised to hear that some of you have managed to run PsiWin under XP.More than 4 years ago I tried that with a serial-to-USB adapter. The
computer went to a dead-lock and that was it for me. On this forum I then
got the advice to make certain changes in the Register file. I did not dareto try that procedure and abandoned the idea. For the sole purpose of
backing up my never-stopp-never-fail-friendly Revo (could it be 10 years old?!) I have kept an old PC under Windows 98. Occasionally I take the trouble
of converting my files and burning them onto a disc to transfer them eitherto my XP or to my Vista machine. I had thought it would be a matter of
maximum a year or so for a good replacement of the Revo to appear. Now, theyears passed by, and I never saw reason to quit (E90 was close, but without
a touch screen...(what became of E90, by the way ?)). Oh, I have never
needed to use the backup files !

Giorgio's recent post asking about a SIM card for his vacation
location reminded me of a question I've had. I know it's about cell(mobile) phones, but hope it's OK to post here.
Since I cycletour in Europe each year I've been thinking about what to
do about a cell phone. I know mine's locked I have a prepaid unit
with AT&T. I've found where I can buy unlocked phones. I'd still want
prepaid service. Just what would I have to do in any European country
to have a local prepaid setup? I know in Germany I can go to an Aldi
store and buy a 15 euro card, but don't know just what to ask for to
get the SIM card. I know this sounds stupid, but I'm really a novice
when it comes to cell phones I have one for emergency use and rarely
use it.
Any advice appreciated.
