Hi Keith
Glad to hear you're still cycling.
I visit the UK for a month or so each year this year I bought a pre-paid 
phone (with its own sim card and phone number) for 15 GBP, about $24  USD. 
I'm sure you could do the same thing in Germany where I  know you spend a significant amount of time.  I'm sure the phone would  not be too expensive to use in adjoining countries.

Looking in BestBuy and 7-Eleven shops in California, they seem to be more 
expensive in the US.

Does anybody have a current email address for Thomas Göddenhenrich the author of S5dive?

His site has gone as of July 2009 in the mass closure of all of Compuserves free websites.
I have a number of users who need to register this program.

Subject: 5mx Connection


I've been able to connect both my netBook and 5mx machines to my PC desktop until I recently had to re-format my hard drive. Now I can connect the netBook, but not the 5mx strange. I've tried 3 different USB/Serial cables with the 5mx, but no go. It's not a super-problem because I can connect the 5mx to my laptop.

Just thought you'd like to know of these strange goings on.
