This may not be strictly true, often touch screens simply act in the same
way as the mouse does in that touching the screen activates a 'mouse click'.
In the case of the Eee PC T91 I suspect this is the case.
The difference will be with multi touch screens and pressure sensitive
screens, even then, it still is only acting as a mouse click of sorts.

Thanks for your reply about the emulator not being touchscreen ready!
At first I liked the idea of an eeepc with touchscreen, but I've gone off
this T91 model already as that swivel hinge looks like it could be
problematic later. One review of it is here

FWIW. I don't have a T91 but I do have an HTC Shift with touch screen and
the EPOC emulator works perfectly with touch (stylus or finger) as do all
the other applications that I have installed on it..
I don't think that the touch feature refers to the emulator itself but
rather to the device on which it is installed. For me the emulator is one of
the first applications that I install on a new PC (desktop or laptop)
because I still use it for all my data bases and I have never had a problem
using it. I would guess that the touch screen of the T91 should work well,
but as I say I haven't got one. I did play with one for quite a while and
found it slow and not really an improvement over the HTC Shift which may
not be a perfect device either.
Hope this helps. Regads Joseph

Errr, that's not really correct. Windows touchscreens emulate the
mouse, and since the EPOC Emulator accepts
mouse input, it works GREAT with Tablet PCs (etc) that have
touchscreens. Feels just like using a real Psion
IMHO (if you ignore the mouse pointer!).
Although maybe I misunderstood something in the original request?

Hi,
I'm sure I have one somewhere, if you want to email me an address I'll
get it in the post.
Cheers,

I've not installed the EPOC emulator on my Toshiba Tablet PC (yet),
but would expect it to work.
The program (EPOC emulator) will not know about a mouse or a touch
screen, as this is part of the OS (XP).
A tap with the pen (the Toshiba Tablet PC is not 'touch' but
interactive with a special pen) will be exactly the same as a click
with a mouse, to any program.

For those with a windows mobile smartphone there is a GPS program
called iGo8. TomTom Navigator will not work
on the newer WM6 phones, neither the 6 nor the 7. iGo8 is a very
capable replacement and after some searching
on the internet I downloaded a version that works very well on my
T-Mobile MDa diamond (HTC) phone. Besides all
the usual functions if you download some skins as well you get a
tremendous number of different options. ASs
opposed to TomTom where you have to switch between maps from country
to country with iGo8 this is not necessary
and after you install the "basemap" together with the various
countries you can choose a destination in any of
the countries and the route will be programmed over all countries you
will pass (from London I can choose a
city in Germany as my destination driving via France and Belgium and
sometimes The Netherlands as well). It
will handle various languages as well (I have got Israel on my phone
with the map and instructions in Hebrew).
With a little further searching you will find the websites to download
the program and the maps for free. It is
most definitely worthwhile to add to your phone.
