Hello all psioneers,

In my job (public servant) I still use a S7 to keep an agenda, personal files (notes, adresses, bankaccount) etc.
In my second job at university being doctor in philosophy I (still) use a netbook with extended memory, especially for the databasefacility. I have two university related databases, one with more than 3000 records and another even with aprox 5000 records. The are a great help for retrieving encyclopedic information (quotations, booklists etc.) no problems with batterylife, immediate fire-up, silent in libraries...
Furthermore I have 2 x S7's an 2 x netbooks in reserve in case of failure the one's in use (never happened so far, apart of the screenproblem with two 5MX's in the past)

Apart of that I write my texts on a fullblown computer.

Cheerio

Well, there's a series 5 mx on my desk here that sees regular usage. ;-)

A few years ago an otherwise serious executive casually popped a 5MX I don't remember the circumstances, but I do remember he enjoyed my recognising it and didn't go further :-)

I still have it on my desk and for notes and maps when I travel.

It still is a conversation piece.

best to all,

I own and I work in privet and at my work with a PC, EEEPC, iMac and my Psions.
But the Psions are always the first choice.
I can do everything with the Psions and I have several programs that I'll never find for a PC or Mac. So I do my work with ER5 and surfing the Internet, with the rest.

Regards,
Kees.

Hi All

My 5mx comes out on most of my daily rail commutes, and the work done is
downloaded onto my PC at work to join all the rest.
Still going strong (and have a reserve 5mx at home plus a netbook, so
should see me well into retirement!).

Kind regards

Thanks for the answers but what I meant was Psion's you see on someone
elses desk (not family members) or used by someone else.

Regards,

Itamar
