Craig, I've never had any problems installing the PsiWin apps on XP.
I have had problems with icon layouts in a Windows folder a few times
and twice when Windows goes bad, Windows crashes when a Psion
disconnects. But by then Windows is due for a reformat and re-install anyway!
What are the problems?

Hiya
Can anybody help me?
I'm trying to create some php programs which produce text files to be read on my 5mx. I've got as far as a utf-8 text file but when I copy this over to the 5mx it all turns into gibberish as the 5mx doesn't understand utf-8. I can alter the settings to spit out the files in different encoding - but which one is the correct one to use? Ultimately the files are for import into Data files.

(Insert witty comment here.)
I am trying to use this with my 5MX.
The converters seem to load into the PSIwin directory ok and I can convert from Powerpoint 2007 to Presentation Maker ok as long as I save files as Powerpoint 97 format.
However when I EXPORT a file from Presentation Maker as per instructions PSIWIN loads the converter files but will not recognise the PM exported file.
Has anyone a working version of this or any ideas?
Regards
John
Discovered a problem. When connected, Psion no longer shows up in Explorer at the bottom. So, as an example, I can't copy anything from my netBook folder on the PC to the connected 5mx.
I think the fact that I didn't get that permanent "MyPsion" icon on the PC's desktop may have something to do with it. That "MyPsion" shortcut I mentioned in my original post just starts the backup process.
Does anyone have any ideas as to the best way to copy files from the netBook to the 5mx, and vice versa? I know I can copy netBook files from the PC onto the 5mx CF using my card reader (built-in on the new computer), but what about files from netBook's C drive to the 5mx C drive?
Any help appreciated.
