Hi Alan,

Thanks for the post. My problem is that my Revo just won't connect. I've tried changing ports and baud rate but no joy at all.

It would be great to connect, I'm using a USB floppy drive to get docs from my XP laptop to my W95 laptop to then transfer to the Revo!

Keith place the two back-to-back aligning the IR windows or as I do,
use a CD crystal case placed behind both, which face forward so that I
can type or tap on both.

Highlite a file or files, then tap the third down left silkscreen icon
and select send.

On the other select receive.

I use EpocSync which does this for you, with any files or folders, on
a regular basis.  I do this to keep my netBook and 5mxPRO in sync.

Keith, I use a program called EpocSync and communicate via irda. It maight do more than you need but I think it will do the job. I don't recall its origins but it's out there somewhere!

Hi,

I usually copy files to the CF in my NetBook, put it in my 5mx and copy it directly there to C:drive and vice versa. So just using the CF card as my main transport device for files between any kind of Psions, PC, Mac, Linux-PC. As long as I just copy files the Psion data system will not be messed up.

For files that are  in "everyday" use, like Agenda, Data, Contacts, etc. I use the program "EpocSync", which connects my NetBook and my 5mx via infrared, and syncs these files automatically, thus I have always the same Agenda, Contacts, etc. on both machines.
