That is correct, but what you can do is on the emulator go to control panel -> switch on/off and set automatic switch-off to NO.
Then if you minimise the emulator instead of switching it off, it will always be available just as you left it provided you switch your laptop to hibernate or standby.
Switching the laptop off will also switch off the emulator like closing any other application. I see very little reason to switch off my eee so my 'Psion' is always there.

But it does come pretty close to a replacement and since I stopped using real Psions I always use the Data application that allows easy conversion to Palm data bases and their corresponding desktop programs.

Hi,
I was wondering, if there is anybody who uses an Nokia N810 instead of a previous Psion 5mx or Netbook/7? If yes, could you tell us about the positive and negative sides in everyday use? And which programs do you use most, did you install Debian as well, etc.???
Just curious, I still use my 5mxPro and Netbook on a daily basis :)) Balazs

Dear Brian,
I have used the "SysBack" program to restore the settings when using the EPOC emulator :

My Psion Revo+ is still working : 10 years now 8-)

Yes, This is right. However, there are utilities to restore settings after reset. I am using with Emulator the AlarmPlus from www.mypsion.ru

It is not so positively. For a long time I work with Emulator at my office PC and with 5mx out of office. I doing so due to protect my very old 5mx from wellknown screen cable compliant. The 1Gb CF keeps up both PC and 5mx well. The emulator bonuses are colour and 800x600 screen.
Best regards
